       Every 7th grader should have an Identical Twin 

·         Review end of 6th grade assessment tests that were given on math. Identify 

deficiencies to work on the summer prior to 7th grade. 

·         Puberty may push you over the edge but don’t go… 

·         Refining choices, develop decision making process. 

·         Recognize, that your child is now having to tryout for a position, rather it is first 

chair in the band or a spot on the basketball team.   

·         Student academic strengths are emphasized and grouped in mathematics, tracking 

begins. The goal should be to be take Algebra I as an 8th Grader. 

·         Writing skills will be focused on, and you should do as much as possible. 

·         Take Midwest Talent Test (Explore) to measure improvement from 6th Grade.
